THUNDER BEACH® MOTORCYCLE RALLY APRIL 29 – May 3, 2020 | HAS BEEN POSTPONED

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. – MARCH 18, 2020    Thunder Beach® Productions announced today that the 22nd Annual Spring Motorcycle Rally in Panama City Beach will not take place as scheduled, April 29 – May 3.

During an emergency meeting of the Panama City Beach City Council on Tuesday, a decision was made that follows directives from Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, and the Centers for Disease Control, pertaining to limiting large-scale events in the State of Florida.  The Council determined there would be no special events held in Panama City Beach through May 1, which directly affects Thunder Beach.

With the first day of the event being so close to the May 1 cutoff, Thunder Beach President, Joe Biggs, said they were looking at every conceivable option before making the decision to cancel or postpone.  “Realizing that the loss of revenue generated by the Rally will directly affect the entire community makes the decision even more consequential and difficult!”

“We are not canceling the Rally, just postponing it by 6 months” said Thunder Beach® General Manager, Chris Anderson.   “This would have been our 22nd Spring Rally and it was gearing up to be our largest one ever!  We are excited to announce that .38 Special, Foghat and Colt Ford were all able to reschedule their performances from the Spring Rally to our 20th Annual Autumn Rally, October 21-25, 2020“.

“We would like to thank the Panama City Beach Tourist Development Council, Harley-Davidson of Panama City Beach and their dealer group, Full Throttle Energy Drink, By The Sea Resorts and all of our other sponsors.  Their continued support has helped Thunder Beach become one of the Premier Motorcycle Events in the Nation!”, Biggs added.  “If you’d like to receive updates on all Rally happenings, you can do so by simply registering here”.
