The Garage Girls Ultimate Biker Makeover Update

On July 24th 2010 the two winners of the Garage-Girls Ultimate Biker Makeover were awarded their long list of prizes and were sporting the biggest smiles all day.

Runner up Judy Reed of Battlecreek Michigan was thrilled with all her prizes, when asked what she was most excited about she didn’t know how to answer. “I think maybe the Z1R jacket, or maybe the Wizards cooler filled with cleaning stuff, I just don’t know, I love it all”. Grand Prize-winner David Bardwell from Texas City Texas, who along with all the riding accessories that Judy scored, was also awarded with components for his 2008 Victory Vegas. When asked what he was most excited about David answered, “I’m really liking that Mustang seat, and I know my wife is going to be excited about it as well”

Contestants (guys and girls) had to submit a 600 words or less essay – describing why they are most in need of a biker makeover as well as a photo by May 10, 2010. Submissions were then narrowed down to the final four by selected judges from clip_image002Garage-Girls and Carlisle Events. Once the final 4 were chosen, the public voted online at www.garage-girls.com for who they felt most deserved the Ultimate Biker Makeover. David and Judy both received the most number of votes, both with similar stories of dealing with tough financial times during this rough economy. Both David and Judy received Rider Makeovers, including Z1R riding jackets and gloves, Vega helmets, Harley-Davidson Footwear boots, t-shirts from VaVaVroom, case of Full synthetic Spectro oil, Wizards Cleaning products, a years subscription to Iron Works Magazine, a $50 gift certificate to Otterbox.com, and a pair of riding glasses from 7 eye. David who had the most amount of votes scored prizes for his ride as well, such as accessories from Kuryakyn, a new Mustang Seat with driver backrest a set of Avon Tires, and new shock from Progressive suspension.
