Mark The Date For 8th Ride The Mountain Bike And Poker Run

QT-PROOF Backed by California-based custom motorcycle builder Big Bear Choppers, this years’ Ride the Mountain is a plotted powerhouse that is sure to rival the likes of Hollister and the Laughlin River Run. “We have the best weather, people and most of all, the best ride that will end up at an awesome event you can’t even imagine” said Co-owner and Vice President of Big Bear Choppers Mona Alsop.

For this years’ event, Big Bear Choppers looked at their formula of success, asking riders what they wanted in an event; broadening their reach not only to their customers, but to all types and sorts of motorcycle owners. Talking with riders of other manufacturers; Harley-Davidson, Honda, Victory riders to name few, all said the same thing… “Give us a good ride, have it end up at an event that is enjoyable and entertaining and we’ll be there”.  This years’ annual Ride the Mountain event will give riders what they want.

It all begins at 7 a.m. with a Poker run at two locations. Starting point number one: Quaid Harley-Davidson in Loma Linda; riders will journey from the concrete jungle, through neighboring cities Redlands and Yucaipa, up scenic Highway 330 ending at the Big Bear Choppers factory in Bear Lake.

Starting point number two:  From the Big Bear Choppers factory, riders will tour the picturesque Mountain Community of Big Bear and Big Bear Lake. Each of the two routes will include a number of stops, with plenty of businesses along the way for riders to take in and sample their wares. By 2 p.m. each route having riders meeting up at the end point, the Big Bear Choppersfactory. “It’s all about the ride” says Bill Beaumont one of thirty San Bernardino City Firefightersassisting with the Poker run. In return for assistance from San Bernardino City Firefighters, Big Bear Choppers will donate a portion of the Poker run entry fees to San Bernardino City Firefighters Charities. “The firefighters are big part of this event. Big Bear Choppers is thrilled to help them with their charities” said Mona Alsop.

At the conclusion of the Poker run, riders will be bound for Snow Summit Mountain resort in Big Bear to top off their day will a full card of motorcycle memorabilia vendors, music, and entertainment.  Just added! Celebrity guests Pauly D from MTV’s show Jersey Shore will DJ music for the event plus scheduled to ride the Poker run routes, the SAMCRO crew from the FX channel hit TV show Sons of Anarchy. Add up the entire day, with thousands of one of a kind and custom motorcycles, the 2010 Ride the Mountain sums up to draw, entertain and give thousands of all ages what they are looking for.

Gates at Snow Summit open at 10 a.m. and stay open until 6 p.m. Tickets are just $10.  Kids ten and under are free. Parking is free. VIP parking is available for $10. Poker run starts at 7 a.m. and is just $30, includes T-shirt, pin, (VIP parking pass for pre-registration by close of business day of June 18) a $45 value. Day of Poker run registration is available beginning at 7 a.m. at both starting points.
