The Broken Spoke Saloon, the World’s Biggest Biker Bar has been busy getting ready for Spring with a great lineup for Daytona Bike Week fans. Headlining the Spoke for Bike Week ’09 are the Kentucky Headhunters on Thursday, March 5th, and BlackFoot on Friday, March 6th. The free tunes at The Broken Spoke Saloon will feature an eclectic mix of Rock & Roll, Blues and Country, complimented by the death-defying feats of the Lucky Daredevil Thrillshow. Billed as the “silver-tongued devil” and the “dominatrix of danger”, Tyler Fyre and Thrill Kill Jill know how to draw an audience with their “Snakes, Swords, Fire and more!” show. Catch them at the Spoke from Wednesday, March 4th through Saturday, March 7th at 3:00pm.
The Broken Spoke’s Daytona free concert series features nine days and nights of live music, beginning at 1:00pm from Friday, February 27th and earlier at 11:30am beginning on Wednesday, March 4th. The music plays until 12midnight. In addition to the free music, the famous “Girls of the Broken Spoke Saloon” will be dancing, smiling and serving drinks daily, and owner Jay Allen has a slew of hot contests lined up. To fuel your fun, the Spoke will be serving up “Famous Philly’s” authentic Cheese Steaks; fried shrimp, oysters, catfish and lobster rolls from Florida’s Captain Joe’s Seafood and Hadden’s BBQ’s Applewood smoked ribs, brisket and more — coming to Daytona all the way from Colorado. And don’t leave the Spoke without getting an autograph from former Playboy model and Miss Sturgis, Debbi Davids. “We have put together such a great mix of music and entertainment, and as always some very pretty ladies. I think this Bike Week will blow the roof off all others”, says owner Jay Allen.
The Broken Spoke Saloon’s US-1 location in Ormond Beach is one of five, and Daytona Bike Week signals the kickoff of the rally season for the Broke Spoke – although this year they headed out on the road a little early. The Broken Spoke’s “Rolling Museum” has been a fixture on Easyriders’ Bike Show Tour from California to Tennessee, which began in January. Many of the cars and bikes that drew crowds at these shows will be on display at the Broken Spoke in Ormond Beach. Speaking of classic cars, the Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation will be displaying a 1970 Dodge Hemi Challenger Convertible, which could be yours! The foundation is selling raffle tickets at the Spoke to win your chance to own this beautiful car, and help out a good cause at the same time.
