ShopTalk took the show on the road October 25, broadcasting from Gordon Olliff’s Flaked Paint & Designs shop in Panama City Beach, Florida. Instead of the usual studio setup, the crew gathered in a working motorcycle shop for an evening of builds, tools, rally stories and the kind of conversations that get better as the night goes on.
Shop talk in the right setting
With builders and riders around the table, conversation turned to motorcycles under construction, shop equipment and the people who keep custom work alive. The discussion moved naturally between mechanical details and the friendships that form around a shared passion for motorcycles.
Thunder Beach and the Georgia Grundle Run

With the show coming from Panama City Beach, Thunder Beach came up early. The crew traded impressions from the rally before swapping stories about rides farther from the Florida coast. The Georgia Grundle Run brought a particularly memorable account of cold rain, poor visibility, muddy riding and motorcycle trouble on the way toward North Georgia. It is the kind of ride that can test your patience and still leave you with a story worth telling.
Galveston, biker culture and good stories

The conversation also touched on riding in Galveston and what happens when local rules and motorcycle antics collide. Another thread tackled snobbery and gatekeeping in motorcycle culture: what it means to welcome new riders instead of deciding who does and doesn’t belong.
Not every story was serious. An old prank motorcycle advertisement that sent callers to a shop provided one of the lighter moments, along with the usual good-natured ribbing and unexpected turns.
Catch the whole shop takeover
This episode is less about a single announcement than spending time with the people who build, ride and keep showing up. Pull up a chair and join the conversation.
