We hit the pavement running headed to Destination Daytona to check out the scene. when we got there we spent some time with Bill from Zippers, talk about some racing history there. Next we headed over to check out Pat Simmons of the Doobie Brothers acoustic set. This was at the same time the HD women’s MDA ride rolled in and we were entertained by such an impressive young girl who sang “America”, she wowed the whole crowd. After Pats acoustic set his wife Cris Sommer Simmons was signing her Cannonball book. David Uhl also had his prints of Cris and her bike Effie, he was on hand to sign those as well . People were really excited about Cris’s book and drew quite a crowd. We then spent some time with Gerald Reinhart, man, talk about some more racing history.
