HYPER 1 was built by Toxic Cycles and is owned by Ricky Ray. Ricky came in 2nd place in 2011 and put a lot more work in the sled this year and took 1st in Performance Custom class at the 2012 Chicago edition of the Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show. This lowered drag bike features extended swingarm, custom wheels, brakes and rotors on his 2009 Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa.

RETRO MOD

3. Josh Lee, JDA Customs – 1981 XS 400 Yamaha 1-Retro-CafeBobber

Analog Motorcycles built S2RD, a 1973 custom Yamaha RD350, and it took 1st place in the Retro MOD class of the 2012 edition of the Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show in Chicago. The two-stroke 348cc Café Bobber features high output ignition, hydraulic clutch conversion, aftermarket expansion chambers, converted Ducati Monster front end, and Progressive rear shocks.

FreeStyle

Brian Szubinski’s 2012 Harley-Davidson Street Glide, built by DD Custom Cycles, took 1st place in the FreeStyle  class of the 2012 edition of Ultimate Builder Custom Bike Show in Chicago, IL. The engine features the powder coat black-out kit with a pumped 103” mil  and is finished off with chrome fasteners.

Additional features include DD Steel tank, steel rear fenders, Yaffe fairing, Ghost bars and painted gauges. DD Custom Cycles hand built the exhaust and added a 1 button flame thrower option. DD Floorboards and 26” front wheel completes the look.

MOD Harley

Paul Richards of Native Custom Baggers hails from Michigan and took 1st place in the Mod Harley Class with his 2007 Harley-Davidson FLLHX. Jimmy Robertson, owner, worked with Paul to determine the components of the build: 26” front wheel, custom front and rear fenders, front and rear air ride, custom saddlebags, sano paint design and audio upgrades.
