The Story Behind America 250: Two Wheels, One Nation
Over the last three decades, Chris and Heather Callen have spent their lives telling the stories of motorcycle people.
Through Cycle Source Magazine, Cycle Source TV, rallies, road trips, and countless miles traveled across the country, they’ve met riders from every corner of America. Builders, veterans, artists, mechanics, small business owners, first responders, and everyday people who share one thing in common: a love for motorcycles and the freedom they represent.
Now, as America approaches its 250th Anniversary, they’re setting out on a journey unlike anything they’ve ever done before.
America 250: Two Wheels, One Nation is more than a motorcycle trip.
It’s a chance to rediscover America.

Nearly Thirty Years on the Road
When Cycle Source Magazine first started nearly three decades ago, nobody could have imagined where the road would lead.
What began as a small publication dedicated to motorcycle culture grew into one of the last remaining national print motorcycle magazines in America. Along the way came thousands of stories, hundreds of events, millions of miles traveled, and friendships built from coast to coast.
The road has always been part of the job.
But more importantly, it’s been part of the adventure.
For Chris and Heather, motorcycles have never simply been transportation. They’ve been a passport to places they may never have discovered otherwise and an introduction to people they otherwise might never have met.
Those experiences helped shape the idea behind America 250.

Looking Beyond the Headlines
Turn on the news and it often feels like America is focused on what separates us.
Politics.
Social media.
Arguments.
Division.
Every day we’re reminded of the things we’re told should divide us.
But the road has a way of changing your perspective.
When you’re traveling through small towns, stopping at diners, talking to people at gas stations, and meeting fellow travelers along the way, you discover something different.
You discover that most Americans have far more in common than they have differences.
You discover kindness.
Generosity.
Pride.
Hard work.
Optimism.
And a shared appreciation for the freedom to choose your own path.
That’s the America Chris and Heather want to find.
Why Now?
Because the timing matters.
In 2026, America turns 250 years old.
That’s a milestone few generations get the opportunity to celebrate.
For Chris and Heather, it felt like the perfect moment to step away from the noise and spend time exploring the country itself.
Not through headlines.
Not through social media.
But the way motorcyclists have always experienced America.
One mile at a time.
From the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island to the Santa Monica Pier, this journey will follow the story of America from its beginnings to the Pacific Ocean, connecting some of the nation’s most iconic landmarks along the way.
But the real story won’t be found at the monuments.
It will be found in the people.

The People Along the Way
Every great motorcycle trip eventually becomes about the people you meet.
The veteran who shares a story over coffee.
The waitress at a roadside diner.
The family running a small-town business.
The rider who pulls up at a gas station and starts a conversation.
The local historian who knows stories that never made it into textbooks.
These are the moments that can’t be planned.
They’re the moments that make travel meaningful.
And they’re the moments Chris and Heather hope to capture throughout this journey.
Because while landmarks tell us where we’ve been, people tell us who we are.
A Motorcycle, a Mission, and an Open Road
Riding a new 2026 Harley-Davidson Road Glide Limited, Chris and Heather will travel thousands of miles documenting the roads, landmarks, communities, and stories that make America unique.
The trip will be filmed as an original documentary series for Cycle Source TV while also appearing in the pages of Cycle Source Magazine through stories, photography, videos, and updates from the road.
Viewers won’t simply watch the journey.
They’ll travel with it.
Every mile.
Every stop.
Every story.

Two Wheels. One Nation.
At its heart, America 250 isn’t about politics.
It’s not about choosing sides.
It’s not about what divides us.
It’s about freedom.
Adventure.
Exploration.
It’s about remembering that America is still a place filled with incredible people, unforgettable places, and endless opportunities to discover something new.
For Chris and Heather, that’s what motorcycles have always represented.
The freedom to explore.
The freedom to connect.
The freedom to keep moving forward.
As America celebrates 250 years of history, they’re inviting everyone to come along for the ride.
Because the best way to understand this country has always been the same.
Get out there.
Meet the people.
See the places.
Ride the roads.
And discover America for yourself.
