The only bike that Royal Enfield plans on releasing this year is the Thunderbird 500.
The Thunderbird 500 wowed show goers at the Indian Auto Expo by literally being the showstopper at the Royal Enfield pavilion. The Thunderbird 500 will be the flagship motorcycle from the Royal Enfield brand and will be powered by the torque bomb of a UCE500 engine. The fuel injected, twin spark 500cc unit construction engine produces a peak power of 27.2 Bhp and delivers a prodigious peak torque of 41.3 Nm. The engine is mated to a five speed gearbox and uses maintenance free hydraulic tappets.
The all new Royal Enfield Thunderbird now with a powerful 500 cc engine, a 20 litre tank, digital meter console, LED tail lamps and in three striking shades of black gives a new definition to Highway cruising.
Perhaps one of the most anticipated models from the Royal Enfield stable, Thunderbird 500 is poised to enhance the pleasure of leisure motorcycling amongst the touring enthusiasts. Coming soon from Royal Enfield this motorcycle with its distinctive “black” styling, this motorcycle is all set to make a distinct statement on the roads.
The other big launch from Royal Enfield which will happen in early 2013 is the Cafe Racer 500, which was another motorcycle which has been enthralling show goers at the Auto Expo, for consecutive Auto Expos now. The Cafe Racer variant will use the same 500cc UCE engine that is Royal Enfield’s flagship engine, but will come with racy cafe racer styling.
