Did you know that it was illegal to buy or sell a motorcycle on Sunday in Indiana. The Senate previously approved the bill and it will go to Governor Mitch Daniels for his consideration. The change would take effect in July.
This approved bill will allow Indiana Motorcycle Dealers to buy and sell bikes on Sundays.
It’s been said from representative’s that all the states surrounding Indiana already allow Sunday sales and that the state’s dealers are losing out on business.
The Indiana House voted 68-31 on Monday in favor of the bill removing the current ban on Sunday motorcycle sales.
The bill only affects motorcycles and doesn’t change Indiana’s prohibition on Sunday sales of other motor vehicles, including cars and trucks.
