Viola, WI – July 11, 2025 — The team at S&S Cycle has just announced an exciting international twist to their wildly popular 2025 Vintage Tour. Set to unfold on December 7, 2025, at the Mooneyes Show in Yokohama, Japan, three of Japan’s most talented custom motorcycle builders will go head-to-head in a one-day build-off unlike anything the event has seen before, S&S Cycle Vintage Tour Japan.
This special event marks the international expansion of the S&S Cycle Vintage Tour and celebrates Japan’s deep appreciation for vintage V-Twins. With the Mooneyes Show already a global mecca for motorcycle and hot rod culture, the timing couldn’t be better.
A Clash of Legends: The Builders
The builders selected for this high-stakes competition represent the cutting edge of Japanese craftsmanship and creativity. Each will be building around a unique S&S engine series:

- KN-Series – Masumi Tsuchino, Infinity Inc.
- P-Series – Yusaku Sato, Satomari Motorcycle
- SH-Series – Takuya Okubo, Vidamotorcycle
Fans attending the Mooneyes Show will get to vote in person between 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM, with the winner being crowned S&S Cycle Vintage Tour Champion later that day.
A Legacy Returns to Japan
“It’s been many years since I first attended Mooneyes on behalf of S&S Cycle,” said Brett Smith, owner and director at S&S Cycle and grandson of founder George Smith. “Howard and our Japanese partners have done an incredible job paving the way for our return, and we’re honored to bring something truly special to the Yokohama show.”
Smith added, “I’m excited to see the level of craftsmanship these builders will bring. Many will remember that the winner of our 50th Anniversary Biker Build-Off was none other than Japan’s own Keiji Kawakita of Hot Dock Custom Cycles. He set the bar high, and we’re looking forward to seeing who will step up and carry the torch next.”
