Shasta Rally

shasta rally

With Seth Doulton’s endorsement, Hollister’s cancellation & Keith Ball’s sponsorship we expect a great turnout for the 2nd Annual Shasta Salute to America Motorcycle Rally held annually over 4th of July weekend at the Tulelake-Butte Valley Fairgrounds in Northern California. The theme of our authentic motorcycle rally will always be to salute our American military whose sacrifice gives the biker community freedom to ride our motorcycles anywhere we want in the greatest country in the world.  Along with a 4 day event schedule that’s packed with bikers’ traditions; perfect camping / RV spaces, kick-ass music, great vendors (yeah, real craftsmen!) & beautiful Pacific Northwest woods riding, South Bay Biker Productions presents AVTT’s sacred displays – the Traveling Wall & Cost of Freedom.

These displays are over a football field long & will be set up just outside the main entrance to the venue.  We invite everyone to come & pay their respects. Admission to the public is FREE. You must be 18 years & have valid ID old to eligible for admission; however, Sunday, July 5th is “family day” until 6:00PM. Visit our website (www.shastarally.com) for all our admission policies.

Tickets to the Shasta Rally are on sale for a limited time. Charge by phone, call: 87-SOUTHBAY) or through our online store – http://yhst-50498575555073.stores.yahoo.net/adpa.html : 4 nights/3 days is only $50 & 24 hr daily passes are $20. Sunday is “family day” & folks from the surrounding towns get in for just $5. You can see that we are in tune with the economy & want to make sure our patrons can afford to attend. Please take a moment to visit our website to see our film clip teaser & photographs from last year. We are building this motorcycle rally brick-by-brick so it becomes what Seth said it will in his endorsement letter.

Along with the Rally, our featured builder will be Mark Daley of Thunderstruck Custom Bikes / Medford, OR (www.thunderstruckcustombikes.com). As busy as Mark is, he has graciously volunteered to be the builder in charge of assembling a new custom hardtail motorcycle that will be donated to the recipient of Operation Gratitude’s 500Kth CARE package this coming Holiday season.  John Bartevian of Perfect Past Custom Motorcycles (www.perfectpastcustommotorcycles.com)   has also stepped up to offer an Operation Gratitude (www.operationgratitude.com) themed paint job for the new bike similar to what was done for the Jeep Liberty donated to OPGrat by Chrysler & Rally Burger for its 300Kth CARE package recipient – see photographs below.

PLEASE HELP ME! THIS IS URGENT! I am requesting ALL motorcycle industry aftermarket parts manufacturers contact me immediately (877-688-4229 or ezj@southbaybiker.com) to donate parts so this motorcycle is ready in time for the 2009 Holiday season.  We need a frame, tires, wheels, motor, controls, seat, instruments, etc. ALL contributors will receive major publicity for their generosity. The Military Channel has already agreed to cover the presentation of the keys to the scooter which will be inside of the 500Kth CARE package bound for Iraq or Afghanistan at Christmas time.  The Military Channel will also be covering the event when the soldier recipient is presented with the motorcycle upon their return from deployment. We know the economy is not good at the moment. That doesn’t change the fact that American soldiers are on guard 24/7 to protect our way of life.  This is an opportunity to show them how much the biker community appreciates their sacrifice.  The related publicity will be priceless to any business or individual who “steps up!”  Don’t forget, our troops are there for us…every step of the way!  Keep in mind that our soldiers are a very loyal group. They won’t forget the businesses & individuals who pony up.  A donation for this milestone moment could come back to help your business for a long time.  Please contact Carolyn Blashek @ cblashek@aol.com, the founder of Operation Gratitude, & take a moment to visit their website (www.operationgratitude.com) if you would like more information about this amazing charity which is held in the highest regard by our military.

Horse Power Promotions has been in business for over 25 years. We have produced shows from coast to coast. Rodeos, Car Shows, Truck Shows and Motorcycle Shows – just to name a few. When we took on the job 3 years ago of bringing back Hollister we knew we had a big job ahead of us. We just never dreamed that the City would not realize the financial benefit of the Rally.

Since August last year bikers and vendors alike have been telling me forget Hollister!! They don’t want our money…we don’t want to give them a dime. With that said I have been looking for a new place to focus my summer event energy on. You folks said build it and we will come………..Well here it is.

Horse Power has found a great new location and a magnificent riding area that really has opened up its county for bikers. Everything that was wrong with Hollister is great with Tulelake. I went to the organizers of the Shasta Salute to America Motorcycle Rally because I felt that out of all the rallies here on the west coast this one really has the potential to be the next big one. I talked to Jeff and Debbie, promoters of the show, and told them that we were all looking for a run on 4th of July and if they would consider moving their dates from Labor Day weekend to the 4th of July weekend that I would do everything I could to move the vendors and bikers north to them.

The dates have been moved and let me tell you that the stress that Hollister had as a show doesn’t exist in Tulelake and it is 180 degrees better all the way around. To start more bikers than cops; do I have to tell you more? Camping – beautiful camping is right at the rally venue. Vendors can park their trailer or camper free within walking distance from their vendor space. Plus the space does not cost you a leg and a knife. Oh yeah…no DOJ doing strip searches every 20 feet.

So mark your calendar for the 2nd Annual Shasta Salute To America Motorcycle Rally that puts a portion of their net proceeds to helping the troops – meaning our American military – instead of paying troops of law enforcement to come to a to a bike event.

The fun begins at 8:00am Friday, July 3rd, 4th, 5th & runs ‘til 11:00am Monday, July 6th at the Tulelake-Butte Valley Fairgrounds, 800 S Main St, Tulelake California 96134. Go to www.shastarally.com or call toll free 87-SOUTHBAY for more info on this great motorcycle rally.
