Mecum Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction Set to Bring 2,000 Motorcycles to Las Vegas

Gold Panhead At Mecum Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction

World’s largest motorcycle auction returns as an annual mecca for collectors and enthusiasts

Walworth, Wis. – January 15, 2025 – The Mecum Las Vegas Motorcycle Auction returns January 27–31 following a record-breaking 2025 event, once again bringing the world’s largest motorcycle auction to the Entertainment Capital of the World. Hosted once again at the South Point Hotel, Casino and Spa, the five-day event will feature an astounding 2,000 motorcycles and more than 30 private collections crossing the block, making it one of the most anticipated gatherings in the global motorcycle community.

Driven by overwhelming demand from early consignors, Mecum expanded the traditional four-day format into a full five-day auction to accommodate the volume and quality of motorcycles entered this year. With a singular focus on motorcycles — from historic factory prototypes to race bikes, customs, and collector-grade classics — the Las Vegas auction has become a yearly pilgrimage for riders, builders, collectors, and enthusiasts from around the world.

Among the headline consignments is a historically significant 1968 Honda CB750 Prototype, the very first CB750 sent to American Honda for testing and marketing. The machine features several one-of-one details, including the only CB750 with “HONDA” cast into the valve cover, a unique Honda oval wing emblem, and a flip-back seat design, making it one of the most important production-era Honda motorcycles in existence.

Also crossing the block is a 2004 Honda RC174 George Beale Replica, a period-correct 1967 factory replica built by renowned British builder George Beale, complete with authentic Honda factory livery. Adding serious race pedigree to the lineup is a 2023 Harley-Davidson Rotax Jay Springsteen Flat Track Racer, raced and signed by legendary rider Jay Springsteen and last campaigned in September in Ohio.

More than 30 private collections will be offered during the auction, with several standing out as must-see consignments. The Richard Wolcott McEnally Collection features more than 150 high-quality motorcycles, heavily focused on British-built icons from the 1950s and 1960s. Dozens of no-reserve offerings from BSA, Matchless, Triumph, Norton, and other legendary marques will cross the block.

The Roadhouse Collection delivers a tribute to American iron, showcasing Harley-Davidson motorcycles spanning from the 1930s through the 2000s, including everything from classic Knuckleheads to long-haul Electra Glides. Meanwhile, the Estenson Vintage Collection brings a heavy dose of off-road and racing history, led by a 1982 Harley-Davidson Woods Rotax Flat Tracker raced by Jay Springsteen, Scott Parker, and Randy Goss.

With its unmatched scale, diversity, and historical significance, Mecum Las Vegas continues to define what a world-class motorcycle auction looks like — serving not just as a marketplace, but as a global gathering point for motorcycle culture, history, and passion.
