“Wow, this whole year’s event was down to the wire with all of should or shouldn’t we by the local law makers to allow the event to go on.. The county wasn’t as aggressive as the city. It was down but it was an awakening to all the businesses. They didn’t understand what the impact would be with chasing out the event. From their actions there are multiple lawsuits from local businesses to the city for what they did to the economy for chasing the bike event out.
Speaking for the Broken Spoke ,we a great time with huge crowds. The bar was packed to capacity thur-sat. To keep the crowd involved I kept asking them” why are you here, this isn’t supposed to be an event.” The crown loved it and went nuts.. They rode in the Broken Spoke until you couldn’t fit another bike in and for me,that was awesome to see!
I got to ride the Wall of Death on the go cart and it was the best ride ever. I could actually see the crowd, everything slowed down and I could really enjoy it. The slower you go the heavier you feel so I sped up and stayed focused. Getting one step closer to taking a bike up on the wall.
Now with the legal movement and the soft economy the city/county hopefully realize they need that event. The Myrtle Beach mayor had to be escorted out of a restaurant by the police because people were so upset with him. They weren’t aware of the repercussions. I think it will be back full swing once the current mayor is living in the woods hiding after he is voted out. Myrtle beach is alive no matter what any one thinks. NO is born and watch it grow.”
Thanks for all of your support,
Until next time …
