It’s time for you to decide…

Last week Indian Motorcycles released their new marketing campaign, “Take the Challenger Challenge”. Essentially they are inviting you to ride their new Challenger Motorcycle, a bagger, designed to compete with the Harley-Davidson Road Glide, and then ride the new Road Glide “Head to Head”. Indian touts “Demo the bikes back-to-back and experience the difference for yourself. May the best V-twin win.” Their campaign even comes complete with a social media hashtag so you can essentially “vote” for your favorite.
Harley-Davidson answered Indian’s challenge with a response of their own, playing off of the fact that they have been building riders for 115 years and have been carrying Indian’s weight the entire time.
Personally, I am looking forward to taking the challenge, which I plan on doing during Daytona Bike Week. I will be honest, it should be interesting because I have never been a fan of the Road Glide and neither bike appeals to me aesthetically, but I guess the ride is more about performance and comfort. I did however put 50,000 miles on my Street Glide, and have been told more than once the Road Glide is a better ride. We shall see!
