Custom Chrome and Kirk Taylor of Custom Design Studios are pleased to announce that they have teamed up to produce another show-stopping custom; only this time it’s a bagger and it’s one of 2 custom bikes Custom Chrome has commissioned to have built to commemorate their upcoming 40th Anniversary Celebration in 2010.

Custom Design Studios is known for their award-winning ground up customs, paint work and parts. Building on their close relationship and wanting the ability to showcase what can be done with a little hard work and some of the finest aftermarket components available from the Custom Chrome catalog; Custom Chrome turned Kirk loose to include engine modifications, components and featured products from the catalog. Kirk added a few of his own twists and then off to the paint booth for a fresh coat of DuPont Hot Hues paint.

“I like these kinds of projects because they allow me to take what I am given and create a motorcycle that anyone could recreate just by ordering parts from their local CCI dealer. Rich Fulk and I spent a lot of time reviewing new products Custom Chrome would be selling in the upcoming catalog and came up with quite the parts list. I enjoy doing ground up customs but this type of project gives customers the opportunity to see what they can get done to their bikes by adding custom parts and paint,” explained Kirk Taylor.

Kirk has created several one off parts for this build that CCI will start carrying in their catalog including a new handlebar for baggers. Rich Fulk, Product Line Manager for Custom Chrome was quick to identify these handlebars as being something they would want to be able to offer in the 2010 40th Anniversary Custom Chrome catalog as well as Kirk’s “Dick’s Cool Unit” velocity stack.

“We went to Kirk and his team because of all the other work they have done for us to support previous projects. He’s been there to get paint and bodywork knocked out for us in the past as well as fabrication. We decided this time to turn the whole project over to him and let him do more than just paint. We knew that we would get a truly unique motorcycle that was well thought out and would be a daily rider and that’s what we got,” said Holger Mohr, CEO of Custom Chrome.
