It’s the largest purse in history paid to Harley-Davidson sportsman racers, and for seven year’s it happened in Las Vegas, but this year- it’s coming to The Rock!
Not only is the All Harley Drag Racing Association (AHDRA) bringing their Championship finals to Rockingham Dragway, but along with it will be a chance for someone to take home big cash on Saturday night, October 11th, when the Screamin’ Eagle High Stakes Shoot Out moves east for the first time ever.
The Screamin’ Eagle East Coast High Stakes Shootout is open to professional and novice racers. Any Harley-Davidson that meets AHDRA technical and safety requirements is eligible. You must have a Harley-Davidson VIN # on the frame or engine case. No delay boxes allowed. Gas bikes only. 5/10 full tree. Participants must also have a current AHDRA membership.
The Screamin’ Eagle East Coast High Stakes Shootout awards $12,000 to the winner and a generous $3,000 to the runner-up. It happens in conjunction with the Screamin’ Eagle Performance Parts Nationals Presented by Kresto on October 10th ,11th, and 12th.
"Who doesn’t want the chance at that kind of money", says AHDRA President, Craig Tharpe. "It’s a great opportunity for anyone, (professional or novice racers) to put his or her Harley on the track and who knows- perhaps, take home the money", he added.
The Shootout begins on Saturday, October 11th at 5:00pm. Competitors will be allowed one time trial before elimination rounds begin. And then, someone is going to win big cash at The Rock!
Entry fee is $100 on or before October 1st by calling 336-924-2095 or online at www.ahdra.com. After the October 1st deadline, participants must register on site at Rockingham Dragway and the fee is $125. Weekend gate admission ($50) is not included in the Shoot Out entry fee.
Entry fee includes a commemorative number plate, a Screamin’ Eagle limited edition High Stakes Shootout T-shirt and a chance to win a complimentary membership and entry fees for AHDRA’s 2009 season.
