People really need to look twice and save a life……..

298095_2276096995684_1646503444_2148137_2146607622_nI normally don’t post stuff like this but I think this is something that never can be talked about enough. I know there are some many people who are guilty of texting and driving, talking on cell phone and driving, and any other distracting things. We all have done it or been distracted by something. With that said it is still needed to get the awareness out that motorcycles are everywhere and that to take a split second and look twice it just might save your life as well as someone else’s.

This is by no means to disrespect anyone, just pass this along to anyone that you know to try to spread awareness that motorcycles are everywhere.

298933_2276097875706_1646503444_2148140_410346685_nThe information that I have on this accident is the Honda motorcycle rider was travelling at approximately 85mph.
The VW driver was talking on a cell phone when she pulled out from a side street, apparently not seeing the motorcycle. The rider’s reaction time was not sufficient enough to avoid this accident.
The car had two passengers and the bike rider was found INSIDE the car with them.
312198_2276097435695_1646503444_2148139_1894581788_nThe Volkswagen actually flipped over from the force of impact and landed 20 feet from where the collision took place.
309378_2276097115687_1646503444_2148138_1125198431_nAll three involved (two in the car and the bike rider) were killed instantly.
This graphic demonstration was placed at the Motorcycle Fair by the Police and Road Safety Department..

So please just pass this on to everyone. You may just save a life.

  1. Please Stop refering to things like this as accidents.
Accidents are a term Lawyers came up with to gain sympathy for their clients.
The terms to use are Crashes and or Collisions.
I bring this up only as it is part of a Safety Campain to discribe these things correctly.
I would also suggest all riders pay extra attention to drivers. Since they do not look out for you, you need to be extra alert.
    Thanks and Ride Safe

  2. “was travelling at approximately 85mph…. The rider’s reaction time was not sufficient enough to avoid this accident.” So he was speeding and the car didn’t see him in time and it’s the car’s fault. Poor motorcyclist. Instead of passing the buck, motorcyclists have to take responsibility for their own bad driving. Looks like both drivers were to blame here.
