Update from the Caledonia High School Chopper Club

steve's bike 051 The first annual Caledonia High School Chopper Club Motorcycle and Car Show was a success. The event was held June 11th at Root River Power Sports in La Crescent, Minnesota. Over fifty vehicles attended the event on the cool and sunny Sunday afternoon.

Show attendants were treated to live music. Abby Road was the first live act followed by Cody Hicks.

steve's bike 112 Jeremy Pederson of Relic Kustom Pinstriping was there to do striping for anyone that needed some custom artwork added to his or her ride. I was witness to one participant was thrilled with the job Jeremy did on his Sportster tank.

steve's bike 142 Door prizes were given to those who brought vehicles. Prizes included: t-shirts, hats, posters, calendars, riding gloves, tools and much more. A raffle drawing took place at 7:00 p.m.. The crowd waited eagerly for the drawing, as there were prizes valued at over $400. Raffle prizes included: a leather Icon riding jacket, riding vests, helmets (one of them pinstriped by Jeremy of Relic along with some of the CHSCC club members), gift certificates for powder coating and gift certificates for parts and services.steve's bike 113

steve's bike 106 The CHSCC members sold club shirts and food throughout the event to raise money for next year’s build. The success of the event was not only determined by the good time everyone had, but also that the club was able to raise money to continue their builds in the future.

We would like to thank Root River Powersports, Hugh’s Handbuilt, Elsie’s Bar and Grill, Cody Hicks, and everyone else that donated to make this event happen for the CHSCC. Thank you.
