My Brothers Have Always Been My Inspiration – Monday Morning Editorial

My Brothers have always been my greatest source of inspiration. Those closest to me especially and often times that leads me through motorcycles and music. While I can’t say enough about how inspiring the folks at Indian Larry Motorcycles and the event they put on to benefit ALD this weekend, especially John The Painter who organized it, I have to talk about some of my brothers of the music world who were on hand as well.

Two of the bands that were on hand for the event were my own boyz in Big House Pete and our staffer Rob Keller and his crew from The Shiners. Now they did this as volunteers and agreed to give their time and music to lend to the days events. What made this truly inspiring is that we all drove eight ours and did what was probably the best show I’ve seen from either act in the name of a cause we all believed in. For the poor bastards in Big House Pete this meant a 25 hour turnaround where we’d be on the road, up and back in the same day so I could stay on schedule for the magazine. Now I’m always doing crazy shit like this, it’s how I live but the rest of the guys from both bands did it with big smiles and had a blast. I was inspired by their level of professionalism and the energy they all put into this show.

I mentioned this on stage that day for anyone that was in attendance, but let me reiterate it here. The greatest gift we can give each other is time…. Because it’s the only thing you can never buy back. Thanks to all the bands and everyone who helped out the day of Aidan’s Ride on behalf of a great cause and some amazing individuals at Indian Larry who put forth a tireless effort in the name of bringing an end to this horrible disease.
