The Broken Spoke Saloon will host the IMBBA Ride-In Custom Bike Show on October 15th during BIKETOBERFEST 2011! This year’s event will feature trophies and prizes in multiple classes where all makes and models are welcome. Check it out this weekend!

This is a great cause to head to this weekend. The poker run and the show all go to help save a little boy that is only 4 yrs old. Ryder from Sperry, OK, is fighting stage four Glioblastoma Multiforme of the brain stem, He was diagnosed in May 2011 and has since undergone surgery to remove the tumor and proton radiation. He is being monitored bi-weekly to watch the remaining cancer cells. Ryder is also participating in a drug trial to help keep the cancer cells from spreading. He has a long fight ahead of him. www.saveryder.org

The Cycle Source 5th annual Black Hills Run was a great turn out. Thanks to all of the people who came out to take the scenic ride with us. We had lunch before the ride and then put some miles down. Great people and a great ride! Can’t wait to do it again next year!

The Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge announced today that Harley-Davidson Motor Company will provide marketing and promotional support for the 2011 Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge. The Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge will present the world’s greatest long distance endurance motorcycle event in August of 2011. The event, the second annual in a series, will begin in Phoenix, Arizona and travel through all forty-eight contiguous States and Canada to Nova Scotia. Splitting Lanes

I had the opportunity to go on a small 70 mile ride with the guys from Biltwell and Duane over the weekend. On our way there, there was a accident that had the traffic at a stand still but here in California you can split lanes. Coming from New Hampshire, where this isn’t allowed, it has always frightened me when a bike comes flying between me and another car and I get walked doing 80.
