Hey man, we just got the news that we have scored the national Walgreens authorization. What this means is that beginning with our August issue we will start to sell Cycle Source Magazine in Walgreens. It will take a few months to get real saturation across the country but you can start looking for us at your neighborhood drug store!

From Our friend Rogue

Like many areas of the country Florida’s Legislature is in session. That means there will be a lot of new laws proposed and passed.

I try to pay attention to these proposed laws and how they will affect, motorcyclist, friends, family and me personally. I also try to let others know so that they can look at these proposed laws to see how they will affect them. There will always be different opinions and rightfully so and everyone should look at the pros and cons of each issue.

Any law that is passed will affect all of us in one way or another at some time in our lives so serious consideration should be given to all of them.

A Letter from The Editor…..

Ok, so more than a letter this is an apology. Anyone that has had to work with me, around me or has simply been trying to get in touch with me for the past two months might deserve a serious apology from me. Things got entirely too heavy these past ten weeks or so and I have to admit, I found my limit, I think. With two regular issues, the Indian Larry Special and the Limpnickie Lot Builder Manual we had a deadline every fifteen days PLUS we had to get the whole booth ready for Cincy and I came home to a house full of sick women, who immediately passed the virus on to me. So with 36 inches of snow, sick as hell and beat up from the most serious work I have ever taken on, I am now going through some 1,000 emails and realized I may have pissed some people off. For that I am terribly sorry and will do my best to get back on track asap.

Admitting that things got out of hand for a minute is no easy feet, especially for someone with a personality like mine but a conversation with a friend the other night reminded me that it’s all good. Life is not a beginning and an ending but rather a series of moments. Some heavy, some light but in the end, the song rolls on. So as for me and the rat pack at Cycle Source, we are now working on our 13th anniversary issue, then off to Daytona where I hope to see some of the friends that I may have been rough on through this tuff time. Until then….. Rock on…..

Major Restructuring, Including New Labor Agreement, Provides Path to Significant Gains in Cost-Competitiveness, Flexibility, Efficiency

MILWAUKEE, December 3, 2009 -

Harley-Davidson, Inc. (NYSE:HOG) today announced it will keep its motorcycle operations in York, Pa., and move forward with plans to restructure those operations.

The announcement follows yesterday’s ratification of a new seven-year labor agreement by company employees at York, represented by International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Local Lodge 175, and today’s decision by the Harley-Davidson Board of Directors to approve the restructuring plan and related funding.

Last Buell Motorcycle Built:

On October 30, a Buell Lightning XB12Scg rolled off the company’s East Troy, Wis. assembly line, the last of the 136,923 motorcycles built in the company’s 26 years of operation. Parent Harley-Davidson announced on October 15 that the Buell lineup of motorcycles would be discontinued effective December 18, 2009. Buell motorcycles will continue to be sold through existing dealers until inventory is depleted.

We are very sorry to see them go and wish Eric luck in whatever comes next for him.
