Fear And Loathing On The Internet

My eyes opened as I was awakened by the sweet stench of disgusting bile juice, vomit and vodka coming from my pillow. Damn, alive again and another day in the hell of the modern world. So be it! I reached for my coffee mug and a pipe full of "reason to live" but both were empty. Struggling to stop the room from spinning, I made my way to the kitchen to throw the switch. Nothing to do for ten minutes; an unstoppable heroin induced paranoia; the crawling feeling that I was being invaded pushed me to busy my mind… or Read More>>>

Take an honest look at your life……..

This time of year is especially hard for me, I lost my mother on Christmas Day suddenly from H1N1. There was no time to say goodbye or even tell her things I wanted to. So now that I have your attention, my point is this. I know that we all live our lives on high-speed and just kind of go through the motions. With that said, after losing my mother suddenly I took a new look at life. It opened my eyes up to a lot of things that you know but they tend to get lost in the mix. Read More>>>

In case you're new here........

I felt compelled as the Editor of Cycle Source Magazine, even though the World Report is an independent forum from it, to step in and add some commentary after today’s flurry of comments and emotion resulting from the Discovery Channel Build Off  between Jess James And The Tuttels. While many of you may be used to our old format where this was a nice purveyor of news and product information, it has long been our goal to turn this blog into more of a Huffington Post of the motorcycle world. What that means is we want it to be Read More>>>

Threads In Our Moral Fabric?

I often wonder how things have gone so far off track for us as a society. It would seem that in today’s world, we are often so busy that we are left with few precious moments to spend on our communities. Now I don’t mean community charity work, I mean the kind of personal time that you spend with friends and neighbors that go towards reenforcing the bonds of community, brotherhood and the moral fiber that makes us who we are.Recently I was reminded that we as biker people, have a firmer sense of this process than most, well many Read More>>>

Happy Labor Day

The staff at Cycle Source would like to wish everyone a Safe, Fun, Labor Day. As we celebrate this Labor Day on this first Monday of September, let us remember our troops and offer a special prayer of thanks for them as if not for their dedication, labors and sacrifices we would not be free to celebrate our own on this day !!! We all have worked hard this year so take this day and be with friends and family and just be thankful.

National No Taxes Movement!!!!

I have an idea for where our government is going and how we can bring it back to a government by the people for the people. This year we ban together and agree to not to pay taxes… any of us. They can’t piss away what we don’t give them. WE DEMAND no more taxation without representation (sound familiar?) and refuse to pay taxes again until they give us a say in our government again. This will top even the hippies best sit in and bring the country to a stand still. The only way I can see we get Read More>>>

Damn good…. But Epic?

Ya’ know, it’s become painfully obvious to many of us here at the magazine that some words from our circles have become horribly over used. Among them and from the top: Old School, Killer, my own very dear “Cats” as a reader reminded me just recently and now the ever prevalent “Epic” has moved to the forefront of our most commonly to often thrown around superlative.    You know the deal, you ask someone what they did this weekend and the response, oh….. It was Epic! I’ve known some cats that have used this word as part of their regular Read More>>>

Big Thanks For BMR!!!!

Hey man, I just want to personally thank each and every person who helped make BMR a great time for the third year in a row. It still blows my mind to think that in spite of horrible weather early on, terrible destruction in other parts of the country, high gas prices and a still shitty economy, BMR Rocked!!!

As we get down to the final week before The V-Twin Expo we have started construction on the Limpnickie Lot Clubhouse. From our family to you!

Around Christmas I always think back to winter days wasting time away with my face stuck in the pages of an Easyrider Magazine, waiting for the weather to break or the parts to arrive. One particular image from the art of David Mann always sticks out in my mind, it is one of my all time favorites. I think the image was titled Snow Shovels and to this day it makes me say Hell Yeah, in my mind. Winter can be long and hard or short and fun, most times it’s up to you to find a way to deal Read More>>>

Now that's better!!!

Ok, so I couldn’t find a damn flag anywhere. Went to all the stores you could think of until finally I got fed up and made on from a garden flag and a football team car flag pole.

Why Not America?

Having just returned from a quick trip to Canada with Buzzy, on his way to West Africa, I had a startling revelation. I noticed in Canada how proud they are of their country. Every home, office and car proudly displays the maple leaf flag of their country. So taken by this was I that I bought one and put it on my bike for the ride home where I expected to buy an American flag for the other side of the bike. Once I crossed the border however, I was surprised to find that I couldn’t buy an American flag Read More>>>

From The Editor - What Really Matters

I’m not sure if it’s my age or just that I was brought up by bikers, no not chrome cowboys, real honest to God bike people, but I always seem to come back with the same answer when times are tough. I have all in need in my brothers, and sisters in this case. This picture was taken by Lisa Ballard one night in Daytona, it was 30 some odd degrees and we were sharing a bowl of Mac-N-Cheese with Athena. I had whipped up the batch on an electric hot plate in order to promote warmth of some kind. Read More>>>
