You can still save $5 if you register before July 31, 2010.  After that, it’s $30.  All motorcycle brands are welcome!  This year’s Ride has 2 start sites:  Laidlaw’s Harley-Davidson in Baldwin Park and Biggs Harley-Davidson / Buell in San Marcos.  If you don’t ride a motorcycle – that’s OK.  Sign up for the after-ride party at Original Mike’s.  Party Only Registration is only $20.  The first 400 participants will receive a gift bag including the 2010 Ride Pin. The Broken Spoke Saloon today announced that the Michael Lichter and Sugar Bear Ride’ 2010 will take place on Sunday, August 8 at 11:00 a.m. The Broken Spoke Campground is located on Highway 79 North, just past Bear Butte State Park in Sturgis, South Dakota.

All along the way, Michael will be shooting for an upcoming feature with Easyriders Magazine. The ride will proceed to a special location found by Jay, treating you to a cool beverage. The Garage Girls Ultimate Biker Makeover Update

On July 24th 2010 the two winners of the Garage-Girls Ultimate Biker Makeover were awarded their long list of prizes and were sporting the biggest smiles all day.

Runner up Judy Reed of Battlecreek Michigan was thrilled with all her prizes, when asked what she was most excited about she didn’t know how to answer. “I think maybe the Z1R jacket, or maybe the Wizards cooler filled with cleaning stuff, I just don’t know, I love it all”. Grand Prize-winner David Bardwell from Texas City Texas, who along with all the riding accessories that Judy scored, was also awarded with components for his 2008 Victory Vegas. When asked what he was most excited about David answered, “I’m really liking that Mustang seat, and I know my wife is going to be excited about it as well”

Four New Builders Added to Michael Lichter’s Tenth Annual Motorcycles as Art Exhibit

Michael Lichter’s internationally renowned and highly anticipated 10thAnnual Motorcycles as Art exhibition is only weeks away and is guaranteed to be a significant highlight of Sturgis Rally Week 2010 festivities. The exhibit scheduled for August 7-13, will focus on the explosion of interest and the passion for custom motorcycles seen over the last thirty years. Entitled, “Eternal Combustion- 30 in the Wind”, this year’s display poses the question, “How is this passion passed on through time?”

Thirty custom motorcycles recently built by 15 pairs of builders tied together by family, respect, friendship or apprenticeship will be on display at the impressive Lichter Exhibition Hall located on the grounds of the Sturgis Buffalo Chip. Builder teams highlighted within the show include: Arlen Ness & Paul Yaffe, Carl & Matt Olsen, Dave & Jody Perewitz, Donnie Smith & Brian Klock, Eddie Trotta & Todd Silicato, Kevin Baas & his Kennedy High School Chopper Class, Gard Hollinger & Satya Kraus, Jerry & David Covington, Kirk Taylor & Brian Schimke, Roland Sands & Drake McElroy, Ron Finch & Gary Maurer, Sugar Bear & Counts Kustoms, Laura Klock and Athena Ransom as well as recent additions Dave Cook & Warren Heir, Jr. and Paul Wideman and Nichole Grodski.
