BMR 2012 here’s the deal……………..

2012 Big Mountain Run Date Moving: So here is the deal. The BMR for this year has to move, getting too big for the old location and since it was sprung on us late we are asking all of you who are planning on coming this year, what date would be best to move to. The new location will most likely be just off of the Cherohala Skyway in Tellico Plains. They already do an event on our old date so keeping it is not an option. Big Mountain Run Next Year!!!!!

Ok, so I just got off the phone with Rico and we were talking about BMR and how he wants to come out. Since next year will be the 15th anniversary party of the magazine during BMR we want to do something special. Well, Don Wood had also been talking about a coast to coast run, maybe we could put all this together and do a ride from Rico’s place to the BMR???? We could stop at a few places along the way, pick up some fellow travelers. Might be cool, WHO’S IN?

The Big Mountain Run

Chris and I have just created a new site for the Big Mountain Run.  Over the next few weeks, I will be creating updates for the bands, daily events and important information. Well, we started off to make what we believed to be the perfect motorcycle event and in its second year BMR was all that and more. Leave it to Bean’re to win over the crowd with his death defying crash and still come out the winner of the Tramp Triathlon at The Big Mountain Run . The object of the event; two guys start off in their own tents, when the horn sounded they had to get in their boots that were outside the tent, run 50 yards, hop on their bike and 50 yards more. Big News, Some Good – Some Bad Okay so let’s get the bad news out of the way first. Crank County Daredevils will not be playing this year. Their drummer has a serious issue with his health and they have canceled all dates. We have plenty of other live acts that will fill the void in time but obviously not in our hearts.
