RINEHART RACING AND CLEARLINE INDUSTRIES, LLC ENTER INTO MANUFACTURING ARRANGEMENT

273logo Rinehart Racing has entered into a new state of the art manufacturing arrangement with Clearline Industries, LLC for the manufacturing of its motorcycle performance exhaust product line.

While this is the V-Twin industry’s first time seeing the name “Clearline” associated with the Rinehart line, it is not Clearline’s first experience with Rinehart. Under Rinehart’s previous manufacturing arrangement, Clearline was responsible for product polishing, finishing and chroming. In addition to Clearline, numerous other suppliers, fabricators and vendors already involved in the manufacturing process will continue to perform their established role under the new arrangement. Vendors new to the Rinehart line are those replacing the portion of fabrication that was previously performed by BUB Enterprises.

“Clearline Industries is honored to be awarded this momentous opportunity with Rinehart Racing and proud to be associated with one of the most renowned names in the exhaust industry,” said James Trotter, Vice President of Business Development with Clearline. “Because of our prior involvement and experience with the Rinehart product, we are confident we have the team in place to meet the demands of the industry, both in quality and quantity. This new arrangement will take our expertise in manufacturing as demonstrated in the specific facet of chroming and polishing and create greater superiority in a product that already surpasses industry standards.”

Clearline Industries, headquartered in Traer, Iowa, was formed with Midwest work ethics and 30 years’ experience to service the transportation industry. Manufacturing of the product line will take place at Clearline’s corporate and manufacturing headquarters, as well as in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

“In exploring candidates, we put potential manufacturers through a rigorous test to determine the depth of their qualifications. Clearline unmistakably exemplified the highest standard of commitment and dedication to take every step necessary to manufacture a premium product. They clearly exude a level of motivation and passion far exceeding any other manufacturer in the industry,” stated Gerald Rinehart, founder and President of Rinehart Racing. Rinehart added, “Clearline’s existing relationship as a member of the manufacturing team brings me an added level of comfort as the quality of their work has already been observed by the entire industry.”

With the expiration of their previous manufacturing and distribution arrangement with LeMans Corp., the parent company of Drag Specialties, Rinehart assumes the exclusive management of the exhaust product line, including manufacturing and distribution, product development and customer service initiatives. With this transition, dealers can now purchase complete systems and component parts direct from Rinehart or through its distribution arrangement with Custom Chrome.

“This new chapter in the life of Rinehart Racing brings with it the dawning of a new day. Our company now has the autonomy and freedom to focus on and respond to the needs of the entire industry while concentrating our efforts towards motorcycle enthusiasts across the country. Every plan we make, every goal we set, and every design we introduce is driven by a principled desire for quality and is zealously focused on the consumer,” said Judd Hollifield, CEO of Rinehart. Hollifield went on to say, “The strategic alliance between these two companies, both of which are corporately committed to innovation, craftsmanship and quality, will capitalize on the balance of imagination, innovation and meticulous engineering. The response will be a foundation for an even more successful future.”

Rinehart and Clearline have already taken steps to improve strategic areas of the manufacturing process. In addition, implementation of state-of-the art technology will improve the quality and performance of the final product. To further promote the confidence of superior quality and enhanced manufacturing, Clearline and Rinehart will begin offering an industry leading 18-month warranty against manufacturing defects as opposed to the earlier published 90-day warranty offered through their previous manufacturing and distribution arrangement.

Hollifield stated, “Many industry conglomerates have abandoned listening to the questions, concerns and suggestions from dealers and motorcyclists, and in turn, have lost recognition of the fact that motorcycle products are made for the bikers. Expect to see Gerald, myself, and our entire Leadership Team at dealerships and events throughout the country, listening to feedback from bikers and dealers, in a grassroots endeavor to keep our ‘finger on the pulse’ of the motorcycle industry.”

Dealer orders for Rinehart product are currently being accepted and processed by Rinehart and Custom Chrome and shipment and delivery of certain products will begin by the end of October. Shortly thereafter, 2009-2010 applications which include true duals and new 2-1 systems being released.
