*On a personal note, I have known Chris for a few years and want to wish him the very best with 70Moto. To MikeD, is was great getting to know you in New Mexico and welcome aboard. If you want to meet Mike, come by the Biltwell booth at the Street Chopper event this weekend *

After three years of managing the company he co-founded in 2006 with friends Bill Bryant and Harold McGruther, Biltwell Brand and Product Manager Chris Collins is leaving the company to start 70Moto, a manufacturer and wholesaler of custom motorcycle parts and accessories. Says Chris Collins regarding his plan, "Designing parts for Biltwell has been one of my greatest work experiences. Biltwell is a great company and I’ve enjoyed my time with the brand. I want nothing but the best for Bill and McGoo, and hope that Biltwell will be all they envision." To speak with Chris Collins directly about his new venture, please email Chris@70Moto.com or call (619) 757-5605.

70Moto will join regional wholesalers Lowbrow Customs and Lick’s Cycle by distributing Biltwell products to motorcycle dealers in the Western US. Currently, Lowbrow focuses in the Midwest and Lick’s sells Biltwell products in the Northeast. This regional distribution strategy has been very effective in Biltwell’s growth, and the company seeks to expand its reach in new territories.

To that end, we’re pleased to announce the addition of Mike D. Ellis as National Sales Manager for the Biltwell brand. Before joining Biltwell, Mike Ellis was the National Sales and Brand Manager for the MX accessories company Universal Engineering, and a founding partner at Rubber Tree Studios, a web-services agency that caters to off-road and custom motorcycle online media. Rubber Tree’s contributions to the chopper market include programming and hosting of ChopCult.com, the newest and most comprehensive online media resource and social network for today’s backstreet chopper builder and bikerider. Biltwell’s marketing includes an aggressive presence in online media, and Mike Ellis will use these tools and the brand’s significant popularity and momentum to grow its presence in the global custom motorcycle market.

Chris Collins’ last day at Biltwell was Friday, October 14. Mike Ellis will join the company October 20. To contact Mike, please email him at Mike@Biltwellinc.com or call (951) 699-1500. To speak with Bill Bryant or Harold McGruther directly, please call (951) 506-0088 X1 or X2, respectively.
