Gettysburg, Pennsylvania (January 26, 2016) – Continuing Gettysburg Bike Week’s tradition of landing top-flight entertainment, GBW has just announced that seminal Southern rock group the Marshall Tucker Band will play this year’s rally.

Formed in the early seventies, the MTB conceived a unique concoction of rock, country, jazz, gospel, and rhythm and blues that propelled them to platinum record sales and inspired and influenced big musical acts like Alabama, the Kentucky Headhunters, Confederate Railroad and Travis Tritt. Led by founding member and lead singer Doug Gray, the Marshall Tucker Band still remains active, performing over one hundred shows a year, delighting old fans and garnering new ones.

“We’re thrilled to have one of the true Southern rock and country greats for Gettysburg Bike Week 2016,” says event coordinator Kelly Shue. “You hear the term legends tossed around in music, but in this case it really fits: these guys are the real deal.”
