As part of our sponsorship with Las Vegas Bikefest’s Artistry In Iron, we wanted to take a closer look at the builders who have been invited to this years event.

So one at a time we are going to ask each of the builders the same ten questions and let our readers get to know them all a little more.

Azzkikr Customs is our Eighth interview, but stay tuned for more as they come in.

1. What people places or things do you get your inspiration from for bike building?

Inspiration in my considered opinion comes from within, we try to build what others aren’t building and to be unique keeping with our style. Really I don’t follow anyone’s style just do my own thing. Being cutting edge on both engineering and design, thinking out of the box and putting yourself out there where others won’t go, that pulls inspiration from within

2. What is your personal philosophy on custom bike building?

Personal philosophy on customs. Custom work should always be an enhancement, if I’m building something for myself I will be more innovative with regards to pushing the custom aspect. If I’m building for a customer then every aspect has to be an enhancement over an in like kind product or engineering of the build.

3. What is on your “Must Do” list while you are in Vegas for Bikefest?

Must do while in Vegas, this trip is all work as I’m vending as well.

4. What does being invited to build a bike for Artistry In Iron mean to you?

Being invited anywhere for anything is always a privilege, if your talent is noticed and your asked to showcase your abilities amongst your peers an you don’t feel honored then something is wrong. So hence its a honor to be invited to the Artistry in Iron

5. How do you feel about the judging at Artistry In Iron being peer based?

Judging i feel should be independent qualified judges

6. What is the best or worst feature of your Artistry In Iron build?

Our build is very unique and the best quality is that it is rideable custom and has all the bells and whistles of a trailer queen.

7. What kind of time goes into a build that’s at the level of an Artistry In Iron bike?

Build from frame to paint is all completed in house, hours consumed would be in excess of 1500.

8. What is your most prized possession in your shop? Example: a tool or machine that was handed down from a family member etc.

Most prized possession is our team, that is not very talented but it is also like a family.

9. If you had the ability to look into a crystal ball and see trends in the future, what would you expect to see coming for the custom motorcycle scene?

Baggers are the biggest thing in the custom industry and will be for some time. If your not in the bagger game you’re simply not seeing what is going on! I will always build custom pro streets, choppers and wild hot rod bikes, but the money is in bagger parts and accessories. I guess that is also the answer to your last question.

10. What do you see yourself doing ten years from now?
