I came across this motorcycle that I picked for honorable mention in a most unorthodox way. You see it was parked on the side of the interstate with a couple of others.
When I stopped to see what if they needed any help I found out that they had everything under control. They also gave me their details on the trip and their bikes so I thought I would pass it along.
Ben Stacy has a really cool shovel, a stroked out 96 inch one with a lot of cool tricked out additions. It isn’t just a show bike but a rider. So much so that he and his bro from Cycle-re-Cycle decided to ride their bikes down to the smokeout from Indianapolis, Indiana some 625 miles one way. At the last minute they had a friend join in with them but his Evo wasn’t up and running so they pulled an all nighter and got it rolling and, one of my favorites, left for a thousand mile test ride. On the way down the Evo had a lifter block problem that they fixed and on the trip home where I found them, the Evo broke a throttle cable but he had an extra one with him.
Meanwhile this stroker Shovel was just eating up the highway. So this month’s honorable mention of bike’s I come across goes to Ben’s Shovel.
Great meeting ya Ben!
