2015 Big Mountain Run – Hillbilly Invitational – Jeff Cochran, SpeedKing

Hillbilly Profiles Jeff

For 2015 The Big Mountain Run will feature builders from all over the Eastern and Central parts of the United States in the Second Annual Hillbilly Invitational. Each of these builders is hand crafting an amazing build for the event and will all be pictured here and in Cycle Source Magazine. The winner also gets automatic entry into the prestigious “Artistry in Iron” invitational at Las Vegas BikeFest this year so the stakes are high. Leading up to the event we want to give you a little background on each builder and today we are proud to introduce a returning builder from the 2014 Hillbilly Invitational, Jeff Cochran of SpeedKing!

Jeff Cochran co-founded a successful large motor cycle company in early 2000 and after 7 years of production decided he did not care for the corporate side of the industry and preferred to work alone like he started. They sold that company  and Jeff formed SpeedKing. He is known for taking stock Shovels And Pans and altering them into sleek functional SpeedKing originals. He also offers a full line of parts he designs and uses on his builds. Jeff has been featured in numerous publications throughout the globe for over the past decade. He is also well know for his past 2o years of photography and currently shoots for many companies and publications throughout the world. He recently moved and built a new shop in a private wooded area in south east Indiana and works non stop turning out10 to 12 custom builds per year. Check out more of his work at www.speedkingusa.com

Your participation will be required whether you are attending Big Mountain Run or not. The way the winner of the Hillbilly Invitational is decided is based on a three-way vote. First is a panel of judges at the event site, the second is decided by the builders themselves and the third is where you come in. When we get to the Big Mountain Run Event Site we will be posting their builds on Facebook and Instagram. 33% of the overall vote will be based on the number of likes each builder gets from social media so stay tuned. Keep watching for more info on Big Mountain Run as the event day gets closer. FYI, the link to our pre-registration is still open, so go sign up to save some money!
