Hey Everyone,I want you to know that the Broken Spoke WILL be open for the 69th Annual Myrtle Beach Spring Rally this year!!! I have had a huge response from a lot of my fellow riders asking me if I would be there to take care of them. Well, to the City of Myrtle Beach, I only have one thing to say…….get ready because here WE come. The City has tried to make the bikers afraid of going by imposing new helmet laws and changing the noise ordinance. The Bikers are telling them to shove it up their ass! If Read More>>>

Another Huge Announcement. Effective May 1st, all Brass Balls Bobbers & Choppers will come standard with Baker Transmissions. Bert Baker is a mastermind and is the clear leader & innovator in drivetrain. We are stoked to have Baker transmissions on our bikes. Even though sourcing from BAKER Drivetrain is a premium upgrade, the quality, prestige and reduced warranty issues more than justifies the investment. Provided by Biker Pros.
We would like to welcome Custom Design Studios to our blog. Kirk Taylor’s Custom Design Studios (CDS) announced its most recent industry-leading innovation – the new EFI throttle-by-wire adapter for their “Dick’s Cool Unit” velocity stack. In February, CDS released the “Dick’s Cool Unit” velocity stack, which was well-received and quickly featured on several custom bikes. Made of the finest materials, the adapter bolts directly on to a Mikuni Carburetor and can be attached to CV and S&S carburetors with a separate adapter. Now Kirk and his team have added another wonderful option for motorcycle fanatics.

Keith has been in the industry for quite a long time and is the founding father for our Motorcycle Rights. You can read about his journey in the March issue of Cycle Source. Personally, I have been a fan of the Thursday News for awhile and found out about Bandit’s Cantina a few years back. We want to thank Biker.com for being a proud sponsor Read More>>>

What a great event! I had the pleasure of helping Jamie and Kutty at the gate and I believe the grand total was about 350 people that passed thru. Everyone spirits were high and the Notebooms did a excellent job making everyone feel at home. They had Choppertown Nation, Loser Machine, Sleds and Sickles, Primos Helmet Design, Foundry Moto showing off their wares. Dean and crew from Dice rolled in and the fun began. A lot of the riders just stayed the night and went on the Dice Hungover ride to Lake Skinner for the BASH.
Better known for stretch choppers than chopped-down throttle-stretchers, Long Beach Cali is nevertheless going to rock and roll on Sunday, April 26 when the ton-up hordes roll in to Alex’s Bar for a day of bike, beer and BBQ. Expect lots of nifty motorcycles, loud, live music, and a bike show partly sponsored by Cafe Racer magazine, naturally.

The Biltwell guys deserve a round of applause for putting on one of the best events to date. They paid for everyone to camp and even feed us on Saturday night. This was a low down camping weekend with your friends, riding and getting to see a lot of kick ass bikes. Friday was spent grabbing a spot on the ground to call your own, drinking a few or in many cases a lot of beers and relaxing.
I started this gig on April 2nd, the six month anniversary of my cease smoking date. ( I stopped using the Q word, my daddy did not raise a quitter ) The way this goes for me, I need to change my habits, I have done exactly that – first I got on the scale and OMG if I would have had my gun in my pocket I would have shot the damn thing. Then I took my measurements- What the hell have I been doing – I knew right then it was time to put my big girl panties Read More>>>
Many are currently fighting the injustice of the CPSIA – which has banned the sale of youth OHVs – by going by the book to make their voices heard. But Malcolm Smith remembers a time when motorcyclists were rebels. He, and a number of others in the motorcycle industry, decided to take the rogue path and protest to the CPSIA in a more aggressive manner.

The crew at D&D Performance Enterprises built a custom exhaust for the Brass Balls Bobbers’ Model 1 motorbike. They designed it as a 2 into 1 Fat Cat performance style pipe that is finished with a slash cut tip. The pipe design has completed rigorous dyno testing to dial in the torque and horsepower performance that Brass Balls was looking for. Enthusiasts experience the bulk of the performance gain at the lower rpm figures… right where they need it and use it most.

I had the chance to meet up with Bob And Lynn McCoy at the Good Guys Show last weekend. What a sweet couple! Bob McCoy is well known in the racing arena, starting with a career in San Diego, California driving jalopies in his teen years. He later went on to drive Midgets and then sprint cars before signing a contract to drive in the Indianapolis 500 in the late ’60s.
“One month into this change of lifestyle and I am down 14 pounds.
