The Master Painter Robert Pradke sent TBear a update on the paint job that he is completing as you read this. It will look sick on the frame when it is done. We all bow to the Master for helping TBear with his endeavor. Can’t wait to see this bike on the road.
The weekend was spent with great people. Duane was set up between Kutty Noteboom, of Hippy Killer Garage and McGoo, Bill and Chris from Biltwell. We met alot of new people and caught up with some old friends. There were many vendors to help you fill the day. The food was great and the beer was flowing.
Saturday night there was Flat Track racing. They guys are insane. Balls out till one hits the deck, they scoop that guy up and they go at it again like nothing happened.
The Love Ride celebrated their 25th anniversary. Jay Leno kept the crowd amused and The FOO Fighters and ZZ Top gave a outstanding performance.
We can’t wait till next year

This is a man that if you know him you love him. I was lucky to meet Tbear when him and Maggie came to run a article on Duane and we all became great friends. After that we hooked up for the SOW two years ago and had a ball. He is a gentle giant with a killer heart. Everyone in the industry knows him as TBear and I know him as my friend. He is working on this bad ass ride for charity. I asked him to send me info on the build and we will you updated as the progress continues. If you have extra parts that you think he could use, help my brother out.
From TBear to you, enjoy…..
About two years ago, I picked up a severely neglected 1968 Triumph TR6C with the intention of doing a quick bobber job and selling the bike with the profit of the build going to some of my children’s charities. Well, I let the news slip on a couple of the internet biker related boards just trying to get some info on unit Triumph motors as I’ve been a dyed in the wool H-D Panhead man for over 30 years and never dabbled in British Iron before.
The response from some of my friends and even strangers ion the industry was over whelming. Offers started pouring in for parts donations and soon I had parts that were never meant to be put on a Triumph. It was a real good feeling to have people step up and want to pitch in to help. With so much moral support I thought it was going to be an easy job to quickly slap together something and get it sold. Well, the best laid plans and all that grew with the modifications that had to be made.
Inspired by the "Hildebrandt" oil filters popularized during the ’50s and ’60s by Truckers and Hot Rod enthusiasts the look, functionality and size have been improved for use on motorcycles. They’re cast, heat treated and precision machined from aluminum and are available in three different finishes, Natural, Polished and Black Wrinkle with Polished Highlights. Each assembly comes complete with stainless steel lid mounting hardware and a quality spin on HD style oil filter and is machined to accept ¼" NPT fittings. They are compatible with anything up to a Twin Cam and a wide variety of mounting and oil line adapters are being designed to accommodate most applications. We found the inspiration for this clean and classic document tube on the innerweb a couple years ago. We’d seen similar gizmos on old bikes from the ‘40’s and ‘50’s. Like our modern replica, those antique jewels provided a place to store your bike’s legal documents, personal effects and other contraband. Unlike those precious relics, the Biltwell registration tube doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Our timeless vessel will only set you back three Andy Jacksons—not bad for something so well built and practical.
Since the spring of 2003, Iron Thread has been working with bikers worldwide to create unique embroidered items that represent each client’s individuality. We call it SERVICING YOUR IDENTITY.
By developing one-on-one personal relationships with every client and utilizing our in-depth knowledge of the bike culture, we collectively create a tailor-made final custom embroidered piece. Our goal is to provide a final product that exceeds their expectations and truly allows them to express who they are and what they are all about.
We’re not the first company to offer a prefab kit for building custom pipes for big twin motorcycles, but our aptly named Biltwell Exhaust Kit is unquestionably the most comprehensive kit of its type for this purpose. We say this because every Biltwell Exhaust Kit comes with five header flange sets—ten flanges total—for the following H-D motor styles:
• Evolution
• Ironhead
• Panhead
• Shovelhead
• STD
