In Memory Of Samantha Morgan – Wall OF Death Trick Rider

myrtleb On April 24th, 2008, Samantha Morgan, also known as Sam Morgan Storm passed away at her farm in West Palm Beach, Florida, due to complications from the numerous back inquires and broken bones she had sustained in her long, illustrious career with the Wall of Death. She was 53.

Her oldest, and close friend, Thomas “Criminal” Cavanaugh is handling all of

the arrangements for a Life Celebration to be held on

Samantha Morgan Storm is one of the pioneers of modern motorcycling women. She loved the excitement, the travel, the people and the worlds her famous Indian motorcycles carried her to, all within that “Thrill Arena.” She will be deeply missed by so many.

Harley-Davidson Museum ANNOUNCES GRAND OPENING date

harley_museum2 MILWAUKEE (May 6, 2008) – Nearly 105 years in the making, the Harley-Davidson Museum, located near downtown Milwaukee, will open its doors to the public on Saturday, July 12. Grand Opening festivities will kick off with a Harley-Davidson-style ceremony at 10 a.m. and will continue throughout the weekend.

The 130,000-square-foot Museum will add a whole new dimension to the Harley-Davidson experience. Visitors will get a feel for the freedom, camaraderie and pride that Harley-Davidson riders experience every time they fire up their motorcycles.

Catskill Mountains National Road Run

June 8-11th, 2008 – Presented by the Hudson Valley Chapter
of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America

_MG_5717_24212525_std The Hudson Valley Chapter of the AMC is inviting everyone to join them in their celebration of the 100th anniversary of Walter Davidson Sr.’s formal visit to the Hudson Valley, June 1908, for his participation in the national FAM endurance run.

In 1908 an endurance run began on Main Street Catskill, N.Y.; crossing over the Catskill Mountains down into Kingston then Newburgh, covering the Hudson Valley South into Brooklyn to finish out on Long Island, N.Y.

There were sixty three entrants of various US motorcycle manufacturers that covered a course of 356 miles total, roads that were rough, rocky and at times covered in mud. 

Walter Davidson Sr.’s granddaughter, Jean Davidson who will be attending the Rhinebeck National has also agreed to take part in the Catskill Run and speak at their banquet

The formal 100th anniversary celebration event is to be held in Catskill, N.Y., Wednesday afternoon, June 11th; opening ceremony 4:00pm ending at 6:00pm. Due to anticipated crowds of spectators and participates, the overall plan of action is to close down Main St. for the event and ceremony on the actual site of the 1908 photograph of Walter Sr. now 100 years later his granddaughter, Jean at the same location.

Sunday June 15th – AMCA Period Modified Bike Show

DSC_5363 Motorcycle photo-journalist TBear, Bikernet.com and Cycle Source Magazine will be hosting the Period Modified Bike Show. The show will be held on Sunday June 15th. Starting at 11:00am, with AMCA Judging ending at 3:00pm. A photo-shoot of the winning bike to follow.

This portion of the meet will feature any make modified motorcycle titled before 1973.

The AMCA period modified Bike Show with AMCA Judging on Sunday. You need to be a AMCA Member to be in this Show, If you would like to join the AMCA see the Link to the AMCA web site and you can join on line! Remember if you bring a bike to display it is free admission to the meet.
